Pragmatic Works Foundation

Pragmatic Works Foundation is dedicated to helping motivated and passionate individuals change their lives by learning in-demand technology skills. If you are a veteran, unemployed or under-employed, we can help you begin your path towards a new career!

Pragmatic Works Foundation was created in January 2009 by the founder and CEO of Pragmatic Works Brian Knight as a way to give back to the community. The focus of the Foundation’s Technology and Career Training Program is to assist veterans with transitioning to the civilian workforce, as well as assisting unemployed and underemployed individuals gain skills to help them evolve into a new career path.

In 2012, the Foundation incorporated a Youth Technology Camp, which teaches children STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills that are necessary in today’s job market. The goal is to get the students excited about these skills and encourage them to pursue a future career in the field.

Then in 2014 School of Programming was added to the youth portion of the foundation. In partnership with the Clay County School Board, Pragmatic Works provides dual enrollment courses to local high school students.

Over the last 6 years, the foundation has trained over 400 people, many of whom are successfully working in the technology field.
